I grew up in a small town and used to babysit for my Optometrist, ultimately through the relationship with that family, I knew I wanted to be an Optometrist when I was 15 years old.
My philosophy is to take care of my patients and give them the care and concern that I would give to my own family.
I really appreciate how McFarland’s is so supportive of their employees. They are always looking for ways to make us feel valued. They make every effort to get us the equipment and personnel we need to practice to our best ability.
The relationships I have developed with my patients over the last 25 years is my favorite thing about practicing Optometry. Next would be taking care of geriatric patients – love the over 80 crowd!!
I love to read, I always have a book with me and typically read around 2 books a week – fiction only, no scary stuff. I am old school and go to the library, nothing beats a book in my hand. Also, I love to cook.
