Dr. Doan completed his optometric education at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the Light House for the Blind externship in New York, New York.
Dr. Doan is a member of the American Optometric Association, Low Vision Rehabilitation section, and the Arkansas Optometric Association, is the Clinical Director for the Arkansas School for the Blind, and former president of the Prevention of Blindness.
Dr. Doan’s interests include the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts by using the latest in technology. He also works with patients with diseased corneas from keratoconus, pellucid maginal dystrophy, Post refractive surgery (RK, PRK, LASIK, etc),and scarred corneas by fitting them with specialty scleral contact lenses. Dr. Doan also provides low vision evaluations and devices to patients with low vision needs.
Dr. Doan is a third-generation optometrist; following in his late father and grandfather’s footsteps. In his free time, Dr. Doan enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
